Ciphers of Regression was a project by the Painting Department of Henning Bohl in collaboration with the Collection & Archive of the University of Applied Arts Vienna. It consisted of an auction conducted by Marei Buhmann and Sofie Fatouretchi and an adaption of the exhibition Der Hausfreund (Friedrich von Berzeviczy-Pallavicini), previously on view at Heiligenkreuzer Hof; and an exhibition of hoodies. Pairs of hoodies were reworked by the painting students, of which auction attendees acquired one. The counterpart was donated to the university’s collection.
